Voltaic is a useful application that will help you convert your AVCHD movie clips into a Mac-friendly format, ready for editing in Final Cut Express HD, iMovie HD, and Final Cut Pro.

Voltaic lets you copy all your footage to your Mac, unplug your camera, then convert the footage while you (and your camera) go and do other things.

Requirements:

· QuickTime 7.3
· Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC)
· iMovie (HD or 08) or Final Cut Express/Pro
· Perian if you are using Final Cut


Limitations:

· Limited to conversion of a single AVCHD file up to 20 MB in size.
· The demo version will allow you to run 10 conversions.
